What is the VFW?
We are a veterans’ service organization dedicated to supporting veterans and deployed servicemembers, as well as
their families. All of our 1.7 million members are U. S. citizens, have served honorably in the U. S. military and have been
deployed (or are currently deployed) to an area of conflict.
The VFW has members in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Latin
America, Europe, Asia and the Pacific. While the majority of members belong to a local VFW post, many choose to remain unaffiliated.
